Global Barista Training Academy (GBTA)

 

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of the website at https://gbta.com.bd/ and your enrolment in any course or service offered by Global Barista Training Academy (‘GBTA’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’). By accessing our website or enrolling in a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

 

2. About GBTA

Global Barista Training Academy (GBTA) is a professional barista training institute based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. GBTA offers internationally aligned barista courses taught by SCA-certified (Specialty Coffee Association) trainers. Upon successful completion of a course, students receive an online-verifiable certificate. GBTA is managed and operated by Owaniul Haque Tamij, Managing Director.

 

3. Courses and Enrolment

3.1 Available Courses

GBTA currently offers the following barista training programmes:

  • Food Safety Management (2 Days)
  • Barista Intermediate (3 Days)
  • Fast Track Barista (5 Days)
  • Latte Art (3 Days)
  • Basic Barista & Mixology Course (2 Days)
  • Barista Professional (10 Days)
  • Barista Advance Professional (20 Days)
  • Master Barista (30 Days)
  • Intermediate to Advanced (20 Days)
  • Home Barista Online Course

 

3.2 Enrolment Process

Enrolment is accepted on a rolling basis. To enrol, prospective students must contact GBTA via WhatsApp at +880 1973791154 or email at gbta444@gmail.com. Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of the applicable course fee. GBTA reserves the right to decline any enrolment at its discretion.

 

3.3 Course Fees

Course fees are denominated in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Fees must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the course unless otherwise agreed in writing. GBTA reserves the right to change course fees at any time. Changes in fees will not apply to confirmed enrolments for which payment has already been received.

 

4. Payment Policy

  • All course fees are to be paid in full before the course start date
  • Payments are accepted via methods specified by GBTA at the time of enrolment
  • Fee receipts and payment confirmation will be provided upon successful payment
  • GBTA does not offer instalment plans unless explicitly agreed in writing

 

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

5.1 Student-Initiated Cancellation

If a student cancels their enrolment:

  • More than 7 days before the course start date: A partial refund may be issued at GBTA’s discretion, less any administrative charges
  • Within 7 days of the course start date: No refund will be issued
  • After course commencement: No refund will be issued under any circumstances

 

5.2 GBTA-Initiated Cancellation

GBTA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course batch due to insufficient enrolments, force majeure, or other operational reasons. In such cases, students will be offered a full refund or a transfer to the next available batch.

 

6. Certification

Upon successful completion of the full course curriculum and meeting all practical and attendance requirements, students will receive a GBTA certificate. Certificates are issued digitally and are verifiable online via the GBTA website at https://gbta.com.bd/certificate/.

GBTA does not guarantee employment or career outcomes as a condition of certification. The certificate represents the successful completion of training at GBTA’s standards.

 

7. Student Conduct

All students are expected to behave in a respectful, professional manner throughout the duration of their course. GBTA reserves the right to dismiss any student from a course without refund in cases of:

  • Disruptive, disrespectful, or abusive behaviour towards trainers, staff, or fellow students
  • Damage to GBTA equipment or property
  • Misrepresentation of identity or qualifications during enrolment
  • Any conduct deemed harmful, unethical, or unlawful

 

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, training resources, content, and materials provided or accessible through the GBTA website are the intellectual property of GBTA. Students are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials solely for personal learning purposes. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any GBTA content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

 

9. Website Use

By using the GBTA website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or disruptive content
  • Reproduce, copy, or distribute any website content without prior written permission from GBTA

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of Bangladesh, GBTA shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss of income, opportunity, or profit arising from participation in or completion of a course
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our website or services
  • Any technical issues, interruptions, or errors affecting the website or online certificate verification

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 

12. Amendments

GBTA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
